README

Lost Island for Windows

A Dynamic Island for Windows 10 and 11, written in C++ with Win32, Direct2D, DirectWrite and WinRT. It is one small `.exe` with nothing to install, and it is the Windows version of [Lost Island for Sway](https://github.com/byte4day/lost-island-archcraft-sway).

The island showing the Claude spark and an orange 'Allow Bash?' request, with album art in a round bubble beside it The open card: a music player tinted by the album art with seek bar and play controls, a Claude Code session row, two rows of round controls, a volume bar, Claude, Codex and Cursor launchers, and a line with the focus timer, weather and battery The control panel in the style of macOS System Settings, on the Island page: a live preview, Island or Notch shape, pill face, display, distance from top and size

Install

  1. Download LostIsland.exe from Releases. The zip has the same .exe with the README and license.

  3. Optional: turn on Start with Windows in Settings › General.

Windows SmartScreen may warn about an unsigned app the first time. Choose **More info › Run anyway**.

    1. Claude Code needs you. The Claude spark and, in orange, what it is asking ("Allow Bash?").
    2. Music. Album art, title and EQ bars that move with the real output level, in the album's col
