NotchClaude — approve Claude Code from your Mac's notch

A rendered animation, not a screen capture — the balloon lives above the menu bar where macOS screen-recording APIs can't reach it. Geometry, colours and spring constants are taken from the source, so it moves the way the real thing does. Regenerate with `Tools/render-demo.swift`.

The balloon springs out of a dot under the notch, and collapses back into it once you answer.

Works for Claude Code in **any terminal** and for Claude Code sessions hosted inside **Claude Desktop** — both read the same `~/.claude/settings.json`, so one install covers them.

  • No system permissions required. No Accessibility, no Screen Recording, no Automation prompts. Global hotkeys use Carbon hot keys, not an event tap.
  • No Xcode required. Builds with the Command Line Tools alone.
  • **Nothing you type, run, or approve leaves
