The Problem
You're watching YouTube while Claude Code works. Claude finishes and asks a question, but you're not paying attention. Minutes pass. Productivity lost.
The Solution
**SnapBack** plugs into your AI coding CLI and:
- Pauses your browser media (YouTube, etc.)
- Plays a notification sound
- Focuses your IDE and terminal
- Locks your phone if you're doomscrolling (optional, Android)
- Returns you to your video when you respond
No more missed prompts. No more context switching friction.

Prerequisites
- macOS 12+
- One or more supported AI CLIs:
- Claude Code (uses hooks)
- Codex CLI (uses the
notifysetting)
jq—brew install jq(only needed for Claude Code hook installation)- Chromium browser — Chrome, Arc, Brave, or Edge
