🎯 The problem

Git is excellent at telling you **what was committed**.

It is much worse at telling you **what is happening right now**.

When one project is open on a MacBook, Mac mini, Windows PC and a developer laptop — while Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or humans work in parallel — the dangerous part happens *before* Git sees anything.

You do not immediately know:

• who is working right now;
• what task each person or AI is doing;
• which branch they are on;
• which files are changing locally;
