Verge — Data skill for Claude Code

Data community

Ambient desktop overlay that tracks AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex/ChatGPT, and more) — real activity, usage quotas, and sessions, with no invented data.

How to install Verge

This entry records only its repository, not the path inside it, so there is no exact command to give. Open STiFLeR7/Verge and copy the folder into ~/.claude/skills/, or the file into ~/.claude/agents/.

What Verge does

Ambient desktop overlay that tracks AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex/ChatGPT, and more) — real activity, usage quotas, and sessions, with no invented data. Windows-complete; Linux/macOS in progress.

README

Verge

A small desktop surface for keeping track of your AI coding agents: what is working, what needs your attention, and how much reported usage or context remains.

*Verge on Windows. Usage and session counts reflect the moment captured.*

Hover an agent to see its usage windows and reset times. Open **Sessions** to inspect individual sessions, their model, context and activity. **Back** returns to the account view; the arrows move between sessions.

Current platform support

Verge is in development. The native shells have different levels of completeness.

Platform Status
Windows Most complete implementation: native Win32 surface, Inter, agent discovery, session details, inactivity collapse and Claude approval controls. Native E2E checks pass.
Linux Working X11/XWayland baseline: local Codex data, provider/session navigation and inactivity collapse. Tested on Ubuntu 24.04 under WSL/Xvfb. Final typography, theme, accessibility and monitor behavior remain unfinished.
macOS AppKit shell and packaging implemented, targeting macOS 13+. Rust cross-checks pass; Swift compilation and native execution still need verification on a Mac.

Native Wayland and Linux/macOS direct approval controls are not implemented. See the [platform matrix](docs/design/PORTABILITY.md) and [latest E2E report](docs/design/E2E_PORTABILITY_2026-09-10.md).

What it shows

The Windows surface provides the complete interaction below; Linux and macOS currently implement subsets described in the platform matrix.

  • Activity: working animation, yellow for waiting, green for completed, red for stopped/error. Activity is independent of quota.
  • Usage: reported limit windows, percentages and reset times. Missing readings stay unavailable rather than becoming an invented zero.
  • Sessions: individual model/context details when the local sour
