🧭 Overview
claude-voice-system is a voice alert app for Claude Code on Windows. It turns status messages, task changes, and other events into spoken audio so you can hear what is happening without watching the screen.
It uses edge-tts for voice output, phrase pools for text choices, and a priority queue to handle important messages first. It also learns from past events to pick better phrases over time.

After you open the page, look for the download files or the latest release. If the project provides an app file, download it to your PC. If it comes as a folder or zip file, save it in a place you can find, such as Downloads or Desktop.
🖥️ System Requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Internet access for voice generation
- Claude Code installed and working
- About 200 MB of free disk space
- Audio output such as speakers or headphones
- A standard user account with permission to run apps
⚙️ How It Works
The app listens for Claude Code events and turns them into spoken updates.
It can:
- speak task updates
- announce important notifications
- choose from a pool of phrases
- rank messages by priority
- adjust phrase use based on past output
- use Microsoft edge-tts for natural speech
This helps you keep track of Claude Code without constant screen checks.
