Coderkit — Development skill for Claude Code

CoderKit

CoderKit is a lightweight, context-aware engineering toolbox for coding agents. It is optional, not a mandatory process. The agent self-selects the smallest useful workflow when its structure materially helps a substantive development task, without asking the user to activate CoderKit or choose a workflow. Simple, routine, or already-clear work stays on the normal fast path. Users can still name a workflow explicitly when they want to override that selection.

plan	Turn the direction into an implementation plan.
implement	Implement with proportionate verification.
debug	Reproduce and isolate a root cause.
verify	Run real checks and review the change for correctness and risk.
commit	Perform explicitly authorized Git and publication actions.

The available lifecycle is `explore → plan → implement → verify → commit`, with `debug` available when needed, but it is not a checklist. Every tool works independently, and the agent must not run the full sequence as ceremony. It chooses only the proportionate step within the user's existing authority; automatic selection never authorizes publication, deployment, destructive changes, or adjacent work.

Work products persist in the target project under `docs/work/NNN-short-name/`: `plan` writes `plan.md`, and `implement` maintains `tasks.md` (main tasks, subtasks, and subagent assignments) as the build loop progresses. Exploration stays conversational and leaves no artifact.
