README

ADB Skill for Claude Code

A [Claude Code skill](https://docs.anthropic.com/en/docs/claude-code/skills) that supplements the [Android CLI skill](https://developer.android.com/tools/agents/android-cli) with low-level ADB operations: PID-filtered logcat, multi-touch gestures (pinch/tilt/rotate via uiautomator2), file push/pull, coordinate precision, and color-based element finding.

**Designed to be used alongside `/android-cli`**, which handles app deployment, screenshots, and UI layout inspection. This skill adds what the Android CLI does not cover.

Installation

1. Install the Android CLI (required dependency)

curl -fsSL https://dl.google.com/android/cli/latest/darwin_arm64/install.sh | bash
android skills add --agent='claude-code' --all

See: https://developer.android.com/tools/agents/android-cli

2. Install this skill

Clone this repo into your Claude Code skills directory:

git clone https://github.com/pengdev/claude-adb-skill.git ~/.claude/skills/claude-adb-skill

Requirements

  • Android CLI installed (see above)
  • adb on your PATH (from Android SDK platform-tools)
  • A connected Android device or emulator (adb devices shows it)
  • Python 3 (for multi-touch gestures, long-press, and color-based element finding)
  • setup.sh initializes the ATX agent on the connected device — a device must be connected when you run it

Permissions

Adding permission rules to `~/.claude/settings.json` avoids repeated prompts during adb operations. All standard adb access goes through wrapper scripts — dangerous commands like `adb uninstall`, `adb shell pm clear`, and `adb shell rm` are intentionally not wrapped and will always prompt for confirmation.

Add the following to your `~/.claude/settings.json`:

"permissions": {
  "allow": [
    "Bash(*/skills/claude-adb-skill/tools/screenshot.sh*)",
    "Bash(*/skills/claude-adb-skill/tools/logcat.sh *)",
    "Bash(*/skills/claude-adb-skill/tools/ui_dump.sh*)",
    "Bash(*/skills/c
