Designers think in images. AI agents think in text. `mood.md` is a protocol that connects the two.

Drop your moodboard images into a folder — screenshots of annotated Figma canvases, colour palettes, typography specimens, spatial references, things you love, things you hate — and generate a structured `mood.md` that any AI agent can use for design direction.

`mood.md` is the **perceptual context** layer of agent-readable design — the file that captures how a project should *feel* before it has a design system.

Why this exists

Agents now ship with rich procedural context (how to build) and increasingly with systemic context (what your design system already is). What they don't have is **perceptual context** — a portable, version-controllable representation of aesthetic intent. Designers carry that in their heads and translate it
