README

AntiBalloon

AntiBalloon is a skill-bloat guard for [Claude Code](https://code.claude.com). It is prompt-only: one `SKILL.md`, with no scripts and no hooks. It stops the model from turning one-off tasks into new skills, rejects skills that overlap existing ones, and audits `~/.claude/skills/` for skills to remove.

Rules

Section Rule What the model does
Core 1 Inline first Single-use tasks, tone or formatting tweaks and quick routines stay as prompts in the chat, not new .md files.
Core 2 Core ecosystem It protects twelve core skills: MinToken, HighPer, ClaudPer, ClaudeMT, ClaudeCtx, ClaudeLean, ClaudeG, Peoples, NetClaude, AICreateAI, Office, HumanSpeak.
Core 3 Zero redundancy It blocks a new skill whose job overlaps a core skill or hook.
Step 1 Gatekeeper Before a new skill is made it asks three things: used in 10+ sessions? already covered by ClaudeLean, MinToken or ClaudeCtx? infrastructure (hooks, filters, monitors) or just a text wrapper? A no, a yes or a text wrapper means reject.
Step 2 Audit It scans ~/.claude/skills/, counts the skills, estimates their context footprint, and flags non-core, duplicate or ad-hoc ones.
Step 3 Report Installed count (target ≤ 10), estimated context overhead, skills flagged for deletion, and the exact rm -rf commands to remove them.

Install

git clone https://github.com/omer-faruk-g/AntiBalloon ~/.claude/skills/anti-balloon

Then restart Claude Code. The skill loads when you say AntiBalloon, AntiBloat or skill temizliği, ask to audit or prune skills, or type `/anti-balloon`.

Limits

  • The core list is fixed at twelve names. Any other skill, including AntiBalloon itself, counts as non-core and gets flagged in an audit. Edit the list in SKILL.md to match your own set.
  • The report prints rm -rf commands; it does not run them. Check each folder before you delete it, since a deleted skill is gone unless it is in git.
