README

J.A.R.V.I.S.

A local voice assistant for Windows that remembers things, keeps track of what you're meant to be doing, and opens your coding agent when you tell him you're home.

Say **"wake up Jarvis, daddy's home"** and he opens your coding agent in a terminal and asks what you're working on today — with a suggestion you will probably decline.

He calls you sir. He does not use exclamation marks.

Quick start

**One icon on your Desktop: J.A.R.V.I.S.** Double-click it.

The app opens with everything in it — a Start/Stop button, a live activity feed of everything he hears, a screenshot button, an autostart toggle, and Settings. A cyan arc reactor appears in the bottom-right of your screen and he says good evening. From then on he's listening.

  • Closing the window leaves him running in the tray. Double-click the tray icon to bring it back.
  • Stop actually stops him listening.
  • Start with Windows is already on — he'll greet you at login with "Welcome back, sir" and go straight to listening without opening a window.

**If anything seems wrong, open Settings.** It has a live level meter and a "listen for 6 seconds and show what he hears" button, which tells you in one click whether the problem is your microphone, the wake phrase, or something else entirely.

To reinstall from scratch on another machine:

cd jarvis
.\scripts\setup.ps1

Talking to him

Say He does
"wake up Jarvis, daddy's home" Opens your coding agent, greets you, suggests nuclear fusion
"Jarvis, let's get to work" Opens a brand new agent session in its own window
"take a screenshot" / "screenshot this" / just "screenshot" Saves a PNG to Pictures\Jarvis at full native resolution
"screenshot this window" Captures only the focused window
"Jarvis, remember this…" Say it alone and he replies "Go ahead" and stores whatever you say next
"Jarvis, remember that the wifi password is hunter2"
