omni-tools-enhanced

An enhanced, independently maintained edition of [omni-tools](https://github.com/iib0011/omni-tools) — a self-hosted collection of 130+ free, privacy-first browser tools — adding a **fix for a real search-filter bug**, **two new tools**, a **zero-dependency MCP server** that exposes the tool logic to AI agents, and a fork-appropriate CI pipeline.

**Enhancement and independent development based on open-source technology (Mode B).** This fork keeps upstream's MIT license and full attribution. The web UI, the existing 130+ tools and the general architecture are **unchanged upstream code**; the improvements listed below are the work of George Nakisisa / GICT Africa Technologies. Overview

Omni Tools is a self-hosted web app that offers everyday utilities — string, JSON, CSV, image, PDF, audio/video, time and number tools — with a strict privacy model: **all processing happens client-side; nothing leaves the device**.

This edition keeps that promise and extends the project in three directions:

Correctness — fixes upstream issue #227: the homepage search results ignored the user-type filter (general users / developers), including a filter restored from localStorage on reload.
New tools — a multi-category Unit Converter (upstream issue #79) and a Data Transfer Time Calculator (upstream issue #80), both directly
