How to install SnipToss

This entry records only its repository, not the path inside it, so there is no exact command to give. Open Moy339339/SnipToss and copy the folder into ~/.claude/skills/, or the file into ~/.claude/agents/.

Annotate the images and videos your coding agent made — then hand the notes straight back to it.

SnipToss is a Windows desktop app for reviewing AI-generated assets. Mark what needs to change with a pin, rectangle, pen or arrow, write the change you want, and SnipToss saves the note — its text, position, time and a cropped snapshot — as plain files in the project's `.sniptoss/` folder. Claude Code, Codex and other agents that can read local files pick the notes up from there and fix the assets.

Web pages, mini programs, PDF and slides are planned.

Features

  • Images and videos: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, SVG, BMP, AVIF; MP4, WebM, MOV, M4V. Turn on Settings → Advanced → More formats for TIFF, HEIC, ICO, APNG, JFIF and MKV in folders and the context menu (a file opened on its own works either way). HEIC needs the HEIF Image Extension and HEVC Video Extensions from the Microsoft Store. Notes on a video are tied to a moment or a time range, and you can step frame by frame.
  • Notes agents can read: .sniptoss/REVIEW.md lists every open note in plain text (positions in pixels, times as mm:ss.mmm), .sniptoss/annotations/*.json holds the structured data, .sniptoss/snapshots/ has one snapshot per note. The format is documented and versioned: docs/annotation-format.md.
  • Two ways to hand off:
    • Copy as Text (Ctrl+Shift+A) — for agents that can read local files (Claude Code, Codex): each note's text, plus where the item and the snapshot are in the project.
    • Copy as Images (Ctrl+Shift+I) — for web-based AI and chat apps: one image per note, with the snapshot and the note underneath.
  • Screen capture with notes (Ctrl+Alt+A, configurable): capture any part of the screen, mark it up, write notes, and
