A [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) **skill**, and a standalone PowerShell/C# toolkit, for building **open-source Windows 11 widgets**: real widgets that appear in *Settings > Personalization > Lock screen > Widgets* and on the Widgets board (Win+W). No wallpaper tricks.

Ask Claude for "my X on my lock screen" and it can scaffold a tested widget project, build and sign a self-contained package, validate it, install it (only with your consent) and prepare the GitHub repo with CI, signed releases and docs.

What you get

  • A skill (SKILL.md plus references) that tells Claude how to take a widget idea from data source to a signed, shareable release, what Windows really allows, and which mistakes to avoid. Every platform claim is tagged [V] verified on a real PC, [D] documented only, or [U] unverified.
  • A project template (assets/template): a small C# widget provider (an out-of-process COM server) that forwards a state folder to the Windows widget host, a zero-dependency Windows PowerShell 5.1 producer that gets your data and draws the tile, a hand-built self-contained MSIX pipeline (no Visual Studio needed), install/uninstall scripts, tests, GitHub Actions CI, a tag-driven signed release workflow, and README / setup guide / SECURITY / CONTRIBUTING / CHANGELOG for the project you generate.
  • Scripts (`scripts/
