Heddlework is an agent development environment built around a simple idea: **the workspace should outlive any one agent harness**. Conversations, diffs, tasks, artifacts, review state, and workspace safety belong to the product; Pi, Codex, Claude, and future runtimes connect through adapters.

Today, Heddlework is a fast native desktop preview for [Pi](https://github.com/earendil-works/pi-coding-agent), rendered with [GPUIX](https://github.com/remorses/gpuix). The longer-term direction adds durable dependency-aware work, safe checkout lanes, scheduling, triage, and Fabric-powered orchestration without introducing another hidden agent loop.
