How to install Catchup

Installs to ~/.claude/commands/mmacpherson-tenforty-catchup.md

Terminal

mkdir -p ~/.claude/commands && curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mmacpherson/tenforty/HEAD/.claude/commands/catchup.md -o ~/.claude/commands/mmacpherson-tenforty-catchup.md

Restart Claude Code, or start a new session, for it to be picked up.

What Catchup does

Refresh Claude Code's memory on branch changes.

Run git diff --stat main...HEAD and git diff --name-status main...HEAD
Parse output to detect renames (exclude from counts)
Auto-select strategy:
- Small (<10 files): Load all changed files
- Medium (10-25 files): Load core full, list test names only
- Large (>25 files): Use diffs for files >500 lines
Execute:
- Core files (src/tenforty/*.py): Read full
- Test files: List test names only
- Generated files (*.cpp,
