README

workflow-x

The pro edition of [workflow-dev](https://github.com/lbecjx/workflow-dev): a [Claude Code](https://code.claude.com) agent that takes your story end to end. It reads the ticket, plans the work with you, builds it following engineering best practices, and puts every change through a rigorous quality gate before it reaches you. What you get at the end is a PR ready for review, with code you can trust.

You pilot, the agent executes, and every step leaves something you can check.

**This repository is a showcase of my work.** It shows what workflow-x does, with release notes. The source code is not here: workflow-x is proprietary and not open source. All rights reserved.

**Want this kind of work on your team?** I design and build agent workflows, guardrails and developer tooling like this one. Write to [lbecjx@gmail.com](mailto:lbecjx@gmail.com). [More about how I work](#how-i-work).

Built the hard way

workflow-x is not a weekend prompt pack. It is the result of months of research into how coding agents fail, real tests on real repositories, and daily dogfooding on personal projects.

  • Built with itself. Every feature was planned, implemented and validated with workflow-x, as a story with acceptance criteria.
  • Every feature ships with its tests. Nothing is integrated without the tests that prove it works, plus behavior evals that check what the agent actually does, not only what the code says.
  • Shipped in the open first. The free edition, workflow-dev, has run through 88 releases and 85 finished stories. workflow-x builds on all of that.

Everything in workflow-dev

workflow-x includes all of [workflow-dev](https://github.com/lbecjx/workflow-dev), the free, lite edition:

  • Persistent context. Each story's context stays on disk through compaction and new sessions.
  • Plan before code. A story's acceptance criteria become ordered task groups, and nothing starts until you approve them.
  • **A quality gate before every commi
