About AE Effects Database

AE Effects Database turns After Effects effects into a browsable, searchable reference aimed at motion designers, editors, compositors, and technical artists. You can look up entries by describing what you want in words or by supplying a reference image, then filter the matches by effect category or vendor suite.

Built-in, third-party, and locally installed effects all live in the same catalog, including collections tied to Adobe, Red Giant, Sapphire, Continuum, and aescripts. Three access paths are available: a GitHub Pages web interface, a command-line workflow, and the `/find-effect` skill for Claude Code.
