Install

Use

Before you switch accounts or sessions, run /handoff in the current session. It checks git, your notes, the plan and memory files, then writes HANDOFF.md at the repo root. It covers what’s done, what’s half-finished, an ordered TODO list, blockers, and any question still waiting for your answer. The file stays untracked: it’s added to .git/info/exclude and is never committed. After you switch, run /continue in the new session. It reads HANDOFF.md, checks it against the real repo state, and asks again any question that was still waiting. It sums up the next steps and waits for your OK before doing anything. While you work, it updates HANDOFF.md after each item. Run /handoff again before the next switch.

Safety

No secrets ever go into HANDOFF.md: no passwords, keys, tokens or .env contents. It names where a secret lives instead. It doesn’t run anything that changes servers, production or the cloud without your approval. Glance over HANDOFF.md before you share it with anyone.
