Turn a holiday calendar into a **culture-safe greeting guide for cross-border business** — know what to send (and what *not* to send) for every country's holidays, and land it all into a calendar that actually reminds you.

Works with **WorkBuddy, Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot**.

What it does

A single end-to-end pipeline with two tightly-coupled halves:

**Part 1 — Content (platform-agnostic).** For every holiday, decide *what to send*:

  • Three-tone framework — classify each holiday as festive (safe to greet), solemn (acknowledge only, never "Happy"), or religious (use that religion's set phrases). This is the single most important judgment in the whole skill.
  • Islamic greeting etiquette — Eid Mubarak not "Happy Eid", Ramadan Kareem not "Happy Ramadan", and never congratulate Ashura.
  • Four-part description structure — cultural meaning → suggested greeting (copy-pasteable) → business notes → timezone footer, with a native-language option as the differentiator.
  • Per-country overrides — the same holiday can mean opposite things (Brazil's Finados is solemn, Mexico's Día de Muertos is festive). Override by country | holiday.
  • Substitute / observance rules — UK substitute days, NZ Mondayisation, Korea's substitute holidays, US observed days, China's 调休 make-up workdays, Islamic moon-sighting ±1 day.
  • Sensitivity guardrails — a list of politically/ethnically sensitive topics to avoid or state per official position.
  • Knowledge-base data model — one reusable entry per holiday, far fewer entries than calendar events.

**Part 2 — Landing (platform-neutral).** Batch-write the holidays into a calendar:

  • A capability contract (user-identity auth, create calendar, create/patch all-day events, read back) that maps onto any calendar system.
  • A reference implementation for Feishu/Lark (lark-cli) — device-code auth, the end.date all-day-event s
