**Research evidence status (2026-09-21):** The revised [study plan](paper/STUDY_PLAN.md) separates historical pilot results, synthetic regression checks, and experiments still pending. The former E2 scaffold did not execute guards; it has been replaced with real artifact-bound checks and a four-condition runner. KOL prediction metrics in the shipped fixture are historical summaries, not end-to-end reproduction. See the [machine-derived evidence record](paper/evidence.json) before quoting research claims.
