Generate Postman Tests Generic — Development skill for Claude Code

A Claude Code skill that turns a ticket's **acceptance criteria** into a runnable Postman collection for **any HTTP API in any repository** — then runs it with Newman and hands you an HTML report plus a paste-ready ticket comment.

It figures out the repo's hosts, base path, auth, conventions and code layout by reading the repo itself (once), so there is nothing to hardcode per project.

.postman_collection.json	The collection: three folders — Setup (create data) → Tests (one request per AC) → Cleanup (delete everything Setup created).
.postman_environment.json	Environment with base_url, base_path, the auth token and fixtures. Holds the token → gitignored automatically.
.newman-report.json	Raw Newman results.
.report.html	Self-contained HTML report — summary tiles, per-request assertions, collapsible Request/Response, Bearer token redacted. Print-styled for PDF.

Requirements

• Node (any recent version) — npx newman for the run, plain node for the report. Zero deps.
• Whatever the repo uses to mint an access token (discovered in Step 0).
• Optional: a Jira / Linear / GitHub MCP connector, to fetch the ticket automatically. Without one, it reads a local ticket file or asks you to paste the description.

Nothing to install for the skill itself — it lives in `~/.claude/skills/generate-postman-tests-generic/`.
