README
AgenticGlow
AgenticGlow is a local macOS menu bar app that shows the status of your AI coding agent sessions. It shows what is happening now: a session with no activity for 10 minutes leaves the list and returns on its own when it next reports, while a session waiting on your permission stays however long it waits. It notifies you when an agent needs your permission, warns once when a usage window runs low, alerts once when the window is exhausted, hints low allowance on the menu bar icon, and can optionally show provider service incidents.
Requirements
- macOS 14.0 or later
- Apple Silicon (arm64) or Intel (x86_64)
Supported Providers
- Codex: Codex app and CLI sessions
- Claude: Claude Code sessions
- Cursor: Cursor Agent sessions via official user-level hooks
Widget
AgenticGlow includes an optional desktop widget (small, medium, and large) showing session and allowance status without opening the app. Launch AgenticGlow once, then right-click the desktop, choose **Edit Widgets**, search for **AgenticGlow**, and add the size you want. See [docs/widget.md](docs/widget.md) for architecture and current limitations.
The widget's allowance section shows Codex and Claude. When Cursor usage is enabled, a small chevron appears at the bottom of the large and medium widgets; clicking it shows Cursor's two pools for about 12 seconds before the overview returns on its own.
