Travel Agent Skill — Development skill for Claude Code

Two [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) skills that turn Claude into a travel desk: one that plans and prices a trip, and one that travels with you.

• travel-agent searches real bookable airfares through ITA Matrix, gets real driving, walking and transit times, researches the ground legs, checks that things are actually open, and writes the trip up.
• trip-companion is the second agent. It reads the dossier the first one wrote, so on your phone in a hostel it already knows your flights, your refs, your addresses and what to do when a leg is missed.

No paid APIs. One optional self-hosted service for fare search; everything else is keyless.

Why this exists

Most trip planning fails on the same handful of things, and they are all encoded here:

• The cheap fare turns out to be basic economy with no seat and no status credit.
• Two tickets look like one journey, so a missed connection is your money, not the airline's.
• The museum is open, but the wing you came for has been behind scaffolding since March.
• The driving time was free-flow and the arrival was rush hour.
• The hostel has no 24-hour reception and the flight lands at 22:40.
• The plan lives in a chat history that your phone cannot reach at the moment you need it.

Install

One command. It needs [uv](https://docs.astral.sh/uv/), which is the only prerequisite:

uvx --from git+https://github.com/Filip-Kin/travel-agent-skill travel-agent

That installs both skills into `~/.claude/skills`, then asks how you travel: which alliance you fly, what you refuse to book, where you sleep, which card carries your rental collision cover, how long a driving day you tolerate, whether you want the famous places or the quiet ones. Every question is skippable, and a skipped answer is recorded as **unknown** so the agent asks you later instead of guessing.
