README

Frieren Agent Monitor

A local, open-source macOS desktop companion for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and Pi. Frieren floats above the desktop without a dashboard frame and keeps an eye on agent sessions running locally or on remote machines reached through SSH.

Latest updates

  • Pi support: monitor Pi sessions locally and on SSH hosts, with lifecycle events supplied by a lightweight global Pi extension.
  • Exchangeable characters: choose a bundled or local companion from the right-click Character menu; selections persist across launches.
  • Flexible character imports: local characters can use a still image, the legacy Frieren atlas, or a custom animation manifest.
  • Native app identity: the built app now includes a Frieren application icon.
