What Be A Boss does

Run your own agent org: talk to an orchestrator, it hires & supervises worker agents you can watch and steer. Self-hosted; pluggable surfaces (Telegram, Web, VS Code) and agent backends (Claude Code, Codex).

be-a-boss — the intro (click to watch with sound)

▶︎ Watch with sound (43s)

**Run your own agent org.** You're the boss: you talk to an **orchestrator** agent, which can keep one **project manager** per outcome-based project and hire **worker** agents for the actual tasks. The hierarchy is adaptive: a small job can still go straight from the orchestrator to a worker. You can watch every agent-to-agent conversation and step into any of them. Each worker runs in an isolated git worktree, so parallel work never collides. Self-hosted, on your box.

be-a-boss is a **framework**, and deliberately modular: the org logic is a transport-agnostic, backend-agnostic core. The **surface** you drive it from and the **agent backend** all sessions run on are both pluggable adapters — nothing in the core knows which one it's talking to.

Supported now Next
Surface — how you drive it Telegram · Web (python -m beaboss.web) · CLI / TUI (boss-cli) · read-only browser/VS Code org views Slack · your own UI over the shared protocol
Agent backend — what sessions run Claude Code · Codex (BEABOSS_BACKEND=codex) —

The quickstart below covers **all three** surfaces; the orchestrator + workers underneath are identical either way — swapping a surface or backend is an adapter, not a rewrite. That's the whole point of the core.
