ref-deck

**Generate a full Instagram carousel by borrowing a proven top-performer's *geometry* — and nothing else.**

`ref-deck` is a [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) skill that produces an 8–9 slide carousel as `slide-01..NN.png`, generated image-by-image with an image model (default `nano_banana_pro` via [Higgsfield](https://higgsfield.ai) MCP) instead of an HTML template.

The core trick: give the model **three references per slide** —

a donor slide from a high-performing carousel → structure and density only
your own locked cover → palette, accent, typefaces (this is what makes ten independently generated images read as one deck)
the canonical character sprite → silhouette, when a mascot appears

Every rendered word appears verbatim in the prompt. The model invents only what you leave unspecified — so you specify everything, and it invents nothing.

What's in the pipeline

Step	What happens
1. Map the donor arc	Read every donor slide, map it to 8–9 of yours, draft every string final and verbatim before a single gen.
1b. Coherence gate	A hard checkpoint. Each body slide must teach one lesson, its panel must prove that lesson, a card must narrate the panel, it must survive a cold-viewer read, and it must define every concept before using it. Fail any check → rewrite or cut. Never generate.
2. Upload references	Donor slides + sprite to the image host.
3. Lock the cover	Serial checkpoint. Re-roll until clean, then re-upload it as the anchor every interior chains off. Includes a hook-specificity gate — the headline must name a specific artifact, not a vibe.
4. Interiors in parallel	Batches of up to 8. A full deck lands in ~4 min wall-clock.
5. CTA slide	Stripped profile card + comment-gate keyword.
6. Post-process	Chroma-key composite: panels render as flat magenta `#FF00FF`, real screenshots composite in a
