Install

LMCP runs on your computer, so install the LMCP app first: download it from [local-mcp.com/download](https://www.local-mcp.com/download?ref=claude-plugin) (macOS 13+ or Windows 10+).

**Option 1: Claude Code plugin** (run these inside Claude Code):

/plugin marketplace add colibird-ai/local-mcp-claude-plugin
/plugin install local-mcp@local-mcp

From a terminal, the same thing:

claude plugin marketplace add colibird-ai/local-mcp-claude-plugin
claude plugin install local-mcp@local-mcp

Restart Claude Code after installing; MCP tools load at startup.

**Option 2: One command** (run it in your terminal, not inside Claude Code):

claude mcp add local-mcp -- npx -y local-mcp@latest

**Option 3: Manual config** (`.mcp.json` in your project, or `~/.claude.json` for every project):
