InTune

**An iPhone app that helps couples say what they mean: Claude rewrites a message so a partner can hear it, and decodes what a partner's message is really asking for.**

What it is

InTune is a relationship communication app for iPhone. Each partner takes a short quiz about how they handle closeness and conflict; from then on, InTune can take something one partner wants to say and offer gentler, clearer versions shaped to how the other partner tends to hear things, or take a message they received and explain the need underneath it. The guidance draws on attachment theory and the Gottman Method, two frameworks couples therapists use widely.

It was built in December 2025 as a working SwiftUI app, a Node.js API and a Supabase database, taken as far as a TestFlight beta. It was not released on the App Store. It's here because it shows how Emergent builds a consumer AI product end to end, from prompt design to streaming UI to App Store tooling.

Highlights

  • Two-way "translation" grounded in real frameworks. Translate turns a draft into three versions (direct, gentle, curious), each with a short note on why it lands better with this partner. Understand works the other way: it reads a partner's message for the emotional need behind it and suggests replies. Prompts reshape Gottman's "four horsemen" (criticism, contempt, defensiveness, stonewalling) into their constructive forms.
  • Personalised to both people. A quiz captures each partner's attachment style, love languages and communication style. If the other partner hasn't joined yet, the user can describe them, and InTune uses that estimate until the partner links their own account through an invite.
