Development community

Cross-platform prompt refinement for Codex, Gemini CLI, and Claude Code, plus Claude-native context guard and telemetry statusline plugins.

How to install Session Optimizer

This entry records only its repository, not the path inside it, so there is no exact command to give. Open cdeust/session-optimizer and copy the folder into ~/.claude/skills/, or the file into ~/.claude/agents/.

What Session Optimizer does

Cross-platform prompt refinement for Codex, Gemini CLI, and Claude Code, plus Claude-native context guard and telemetry statusline plugins. Portable refine-gate binds vague prompts to evidence; optional hooks enforce checkpoints, track subagent spend, and surface context and quota telemetry.

**Cross-platform prompt refinement for Codex, Gemini CLI, and Claude Code, plus context-budget and telemetry controls.** The portable `refine-gate` skill binds vague requests to concrete evidence on all three hosts. `context-guard` enforces a per-model context-budget checkpoint on both Claude Code and Codex (each host's own Stop-hook contract). `statusline` adds passive telemetry where Claude Code exposes the required metrics.

The repository ships three small, dependency-light, **independently installable** packages. Install exactly the ones your host supports and you need; none requires the others.

/plugin marketplace add cdeust/session-optimizer
Plugin One-line install What it does
**context-guard** Claude: /plugin install context-guard@session-optimizer-marketplace; Codex: codex plugin marketplace add cdeust/session-optimizer + codex plugin add context-guard@session-optimizer-codex A Stop hook enforces a per-model context budget: at the WARN threshold it writes a mechanical checkpoint stub — on Claude Code it delegates persistence to a budgeted memory-writer subagent as a reflection pause; on Codex the model writes the stub itself (no subagent-spawn tool is assumed) — at the hard cap it forces checkpoint → /clear → resume. On Claude Code a SubagentStop tracker also surfaces true session spend (main thread + subagents)
