Its signature feature is a continuous 20-step color wheel across the model and effort space. No other Claude Code statusline shows you what's running and how hard, in color, at a glance, on one line.

Quickstart

npx ampline-claude --install

That's it. It installs itself into `~/.claude/settings.json` and copies its runtime to `~/.claude/hooks/ampline-claude/`. Restart Claude Code or start a new session to see it.

The bare `npx ampline-claude` also installs, but only from an interactive terminal. Use `--install` in scripts, in CI, or any time you are not sure. It works everywhere.

Manual install (editing settings.json yourself)

Run `npx ampline-claude --install` once anyway. That's what copies the runtime to a stable location. Then, if you'd rather manage the config yourself, add entries shaped like this to `~/.claude/settings.json`, using **your own absolute path** (shown below as a placeholder,
