Mandatory User Intake

For personalized recommendations, the skill must collect these six pieces of information **before researching products or giving a personalized recommendation**:

1. What are we shopping for?
2. What is the user's skin type?
3. What is the user's skin tone/depth?
4. What is the user's undertone?
5. What is the user's budget?
6. What makeup look or finish are they going for?

The skill asks these questions in the first response.

Users can answer with **"not sure"** or **"I don't know"**. The skill then helps them determine the missing information instead of forcing technical terminology.

Smart Intake

The intake is designed to feel conversational rather than like a form.

If a user provides multiple answers at once, the skill extracts everything it already knows and asks only for the missing information.

It never restarts the questionnaire or repeatedly asks for information the user has already provided.
