youtube-to-blog skill

A Claude Code skill that turns a single YouTube video into a publish-ready, SEO-optimised MDX blog post — full rewrite (not a transcript dump), keyword-targeted, with real screenshots pulled from the video embedded inline.

What's in here

SKILL.md — the skill itself (the instructions Claude follows)
extract_frames.py — pulls screenshots from the video at chosen timestamps
sitemap_scan.py — scans the target site for internal-link and keyword opportunities
references/seo-playbook.md — the AEO/GEO + on-page SEO patterns the skill follows

Install

Drop the whole folder into your Claude Code skills directory:

~/.claude/skills/youtube-to-blog/

Then invoke it in Claude Code with `/youtube-to-blog `.

Notes

The skill expects a youtube-transcriber skill to be present (it calls it for the timestamped transcript).
It targets an MDX/Next.js blog by default — you'll want to adjust the output path and front-matter for your own site.
