Claude Code for marketers — workshop pack

**Edge of Search 2026 · masterclass with Brogan Renshaw · 3 September**

Everything you need for the three hours is in this folder. You don't need to read it all now — we'll go through it together. This page is here so you can find your way back afterwards.

Before the day: the ten-minute setup

Do this at home. If it doesn't work, email brogan@firewiredigital.com.au and we'll sort it out on a fifteen-minute call before the workshop. That call is the difference between building things on the day and watching someone else build them.

**1. You need a paid Claude plan.** Pro is the entry level — claude.com/pricing. Claude Code will not log in on the free tier.

**2. Install Claude Code.** Follow the official guide: code.claude.com/docs/en/quickstart It covers Mac and Windows and takes about ten minutes.

**3. Check it worked.** Open Terminal (Mac) or PowerShell (Windows) and type:

claude --version

You should get a version number. Then type:

claude

Then type `hello` and press enter. If Claude replies, **you are ready**. Type `/exit` to leave.

**4. Optional, but it saves time on the day.** In the last hour we give Claude a web browser, and that part needs Node. Type:

node --version

If you get a number, you're set. If you don't, install the LTS version from nodejs.org. If your work laptop won't let you, don't worry about it — say so on the day and we'll pair you with someone.

That's it. You don't need to understand any of it yet.

What's here

**The five data files.** These are the ones you need on the day.

They're already in the right place, under `clients/foreshore/context/`. You don't need to move them.
