A Claude Code skill for interacting with the entire Cloudflare API using bash + Node.js — no MCP server required.

Inspired by the **codemode pattern** invented by [Matt Carey (@mattzcarey)](https://x.com/mattzcarey), who built the original [mattzcarey/cloudflare-mcp](https://github.com/mattzcarey/cloudflare-mcp) server that Cloudflare subsequently adopted as their official [cloudflare/mcp](https://github.com/cloudflare/mcp). The core insight: instead of exposing 2,500 API endpoints as individual MCP tools (~244k tokens), give the agent two tools — `search` and `execute` — and let it write JavaScript to call the API itself (~1k tokens).

This skill takes that same approach but strips out the MCP server entirely. Since Claude Code already has bash access, you can just run Node directly.

How it works

Two steps, same as the official Cloudflare MCP codemode server:

1. Search — query ~/.cache/cloudflare-spec-processed.json with a Node snippet to find endpoints
2. Execute — run a Node script against api.cloudflare.com using your API token

The `process-spec.js` script mirrors `cloudflare/mcp`'s `spec-processor.ts`: it resolves all `$ref` pointers inline and injects synthetic product tags, so searches work cleanly without manual schema lookups.
