Job Radar — Development skill for Claude Code

Find jobs that match your CV directly in company job boards hosted on **Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters and Workable** — without job aggregators.

You drop your CV into the project folder, job-radar turns it into search criteria with Claude, polls the public job APIs of every company in its database and gives you a ranked CSV of matching roles with direct links.

Node.js 18+, no dependencies to install.

Quick start

1. Requirements

• Node.js 18 or newer — check with node -v, download from nodejs.org.
• Anthropic API key — reads your CV once (and optionally scores jobs). Create one at console.anthropic.com → API Keys. The API is pay-as-you-go and needs a small credit balance; building a profile costs a fraction of a cent.
• SerpApi key — finds companies that use these ATS through Google search. Create one at serpapi.com → Dashboard → Your Private API Key. There is a free plan; check its current monthly limit. 1 search page = 1 credit.

2. Get the code

There is nothing to `npm install`.

3. Add your API keys

Copy the example file to `.env` in the project root:

copy .env.example .env      # Windows (cmd)

Open `.env` and paste your keys after the `=` signs:

ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=sk-ant-...
SERPAPI_API_KEY=abc123...

`.env` is in `.gitignore` and is never committed.

4. Add your CV

Export your CV to **PDF** and save it as **`cv.pdf` in the project root** — the same folder as `cli.js`:

The name must be exactly `cv.pdf` (lowercase). To use a different path, change `cv_path` in `config.json`. `cv.pdf` is in `.gitignore` too.
