How to install Foyer
This entry records only its repository, not the path inside it, so there is no
exact command to give. Open Abdo-El-Mobayad/Foyer and copy the folder into
~/.claude/skills/, or the file into ~/.claude/agents/.
What Foyer does
Companion app for wikis and repos you run through Claude Code and other AI agents. Replaces Obsidian and VS Code for reading: instant file search, Markdown, HTML, CSV and spreadsheet previews, live updates as the agent writes. Your terminal does the work, Foyer shows it.

README
Foyer
A companion app for people who run their wikis, knowledge bases and repositories through Claude Code, Codex or any other AI agent in the terminal.
When an agent does the writing, you stop needing an editor and start needing a fast way to see what it wrote. That job usually takes two apps, Obsidian to read the notes and VS Code to browse the tree. Foyer merges them into one window built for reading and searching, so your terminal session stays the place you work and Foyer sits beside it:
- Every file in the folder, the way VS Code's explorer shows it (dotfolders, gitignored files, every extension).
- Instant previews of Markdown, HTML, CSV, spreadsheets, images, PDFs, video and audio.
- File-name search across the whole folder, indexed in well under a second on each open.
- Live updates: the tree and the open note follow the agent's writes as they land.
- Markdown notes edit in place, with autosave that never overwrites a file the agent changed under you. Anything else opens in VS Code with one click.
No server, no accounts, no sync, no network calls. The only files it writes are notes (`.md`, `.markdown`, `.mdx`) and folders. Built and tested on Windows, and the installer is Windows-only for now.
