Skuggsja — Design skill for Claude Code
A local, read-only retrospective for Claude Code, Codex, Hermes and Cursor histories.
How to install Skuggsja
This entry records only its repository, not the path inside it, so there is no
exact command to give. Open 0merUfuk/skuggsja and copy the folder into
~/.claude/skills/, or the file into ~/.claude/agents/.
What Skuggsja does

README
skuggsja
**A local-first Rewind for your AI coding agents.**
`skuggsja` (from Old Norse *skuggsjá*, “mirror”) reads the histories already stored by Claude Code, Codex, Hermes Agent, and Cursor, reduces them to privacy-safe aggregates, and opens an editorial report on loopback. It is a record of what survives on one machine, not an account-wide usage statement.
Verification scope: the code has path handling for macOS, Linux, and Windows, but real-provider-data verification is currently macOS-only. Cursor support is schema-verified with synthetic data and is not real-data verified. Native tests and isolated installation pass on macOS, Linux and Windows; real harness stores on Linux/Windows and new upstream schemas remain unverified.
Quick start
On macOS or Linux with Homebrew installed:
brew install 0merUfuk/skuggsja/skuggsja
skuggsja version
skuggsja
For Windows, use the [release archive](#manual-archives). To compile it yourself, see [Build from source](#build-from-source).
Running `skuggsja` generates the aggregate report, prints a terminal summary, starts an HTTP server bound to `127.0.0.1`, and asks the operating system to open the local Rewind in the default browser. If browser launch is unavailable, open the printed loopback URL yourself. Stop the server with Ctrl+C.
Source access is always read-only: **skuggsja does not write to source paths.** The terminal and UI show that guarantee on every run. Keep your agents running; source activity observed during generation is neutral information, for example: “2 files changed during the run by another process; skuggsja does not write to source paths.”
In **Usage**, switch the harness mix between **Sessions** and **Prompts**. Circle area represents the selected recorded count; color identifies the harness. Hover, tap, or keyboard-focus a circle or its legend row for the exact value and coverage. One or two positive counts, or a distribution with circles too small to use,
